The GLO Belt is the conductive flexible track at the core of the GLO belt-link lighting system. Sold in 20-metre rolls. Available in Dark Blue, Terra Red, Light Grey, and Dark Grey. Any GLO fixture clips onto the belt at any point along its length. The belt carries 48V DC power from the connected power supply to every fixture attached to it.
The belt is a design decision, not just infrastructure. Unlike a rigid aluminium track that is typically painted to match the ceiling and disappear, the GLO belt's colour is visible and intentional. Dark Blue adds a graphic element to white or light-coloured ceilings. Terra Red creates a warm, earthy ceiling line. Light Grey reads as understated and architectural. Dark Grey suits contemporary interiors with dark or concrete-effect ceilings. Interior designers specify belt colour alongside fixture colour — the two combine to define how the system reads across the ceiling before a single light is even switched on.
- Dark Blue: Graphic statement, white ceilings, contemporary and maximalist interiors
- Terra Red: Warm and earthy, suits natural material palettes, terracotta, and timber finishes
- Light Grey: Architectural understatement, suits both light and mid-tone ceilings
- Dark Grey: Contemporary, suits dark, concrete-effect, and industrial-inspired ceilings

How many fixtures can one 20m belt support?
The belt carries current from the power supply to the fixtures — the number of fixtures it can support depends on the power supply rating, not the belt length. A 100W GLO power supply supports up to eight 12W fixtures or five 20W fixtures simultaneously. A 200W supply doubles this. One belt circuit can carry multiple different fixture types as long as total wattage stays within the power supply rating. The 20m length is the structural belt; plan power supply capacity based on total fixture wattage.
Can the GLO belt be cut to fit a shorter ceiling run?
Yes — the belt is designed to be cut to length at the installation site. Cut points are marked along the belt. The unused portion can be stored and used in another project or additional circuit. There is no wastage concern with the 20m standard roll for projects that use only 8m or 12m — the remainder is fully functional belt.
Does the belt colour affect the light output from the fixtures?
No — belt colour has no effect on fixture performance. It affects only the ceiling appearance. Fixture specifications (lumens, beam angle, CRI, CCT) are independent of belt colour. The belt colour choice is purely an interior design decision about how the ceiling looks when the lights are on and when they are off.
