The range covers two primary tile bodies. Full body vitrified tiles carry colour and pattern through the entire thickness of the tile — surface chips and scratches are far less visible than on surface-printed alternatives, making them the correct specification for high-traffic kitchen and bathroom floors in active Indian homes. Third fire ceramic tiles are surface-decorated tiles fired at a lower temperature — suited to wall applications, bathroom feature walls, kitchen backsplashes, and decorative accent areas where foot traffic load is not a factor. For wet areas including bathrooms and balconies, anti-skid tiles with a textured surface finish provide grip underfoot where smooth surfaces become a hazard.
What is the difference between full body vitrified tiles and third fire ceramic tiles? Full body vitrified tiles have colour and pattern running through the entire tile thickness — dense, low-porosity, and suited to heavy-traffic floor applications. Third fire ceramic tiles are surface-decorated and fired at lower temperatures — lighter, easier to cut, and ideal for wall cladding, bathroom feature walls, and kitchen backsplashes where floor load is not a requirement.
What tile format works best for a small Indian bathroom? Smaller format tiles like hexagon, subway, and KitKat patterns suit compact bathrooms well — they allow grout lines to follow the room's geometry and create visual interest without overwhelming the space. For floors under 25 square feet, mosaic and hexagon formats in 100mm to 200mm sizes give better proportion than large-format slabs.
Which Aestro® tiles are suitable for outdoor and swimming pool use? Anti-skid tiles with textured surface finishes are the correct specification for outdoor balconies, terraces, and wet outdoor areas. Swimming pool tiles in the Aestro® range are specifically rated for permanent water immersion and chemical exposure from pool treatment. Always confirm the application rating before specifying any tile for outdoor or pool installation.
