Octagon Geometric Brass Cabinet Knob

T21 Product Code: B-0006

The Octagon Geometric Brass Cabinet Knob cuts eight flat, angled faces into a solid brass dome, brushed to a soft gold finish, at 27mm diameter — a defined geometric shape that stands apart from the rounded, ribbed, or floral profiles found across most of the Brass Essence knob collection.

Each of the eight facets is machined at a precise angle, which is what gives the knob its crystalline, cut-gem appearance without actually using crystal or glass — solid brass, shaped this precisely, reads as sharp and architectural in a way a rounded knob simply can't replicate.

Because the surface is faceted rather than smooth, the knob catches light differently as you move around it, similar in principle to how the crystal knobs elsewhere in Brass Essence work, but with brass's warmer, more matte reflection instead of crystal's brighter sparkle — a middle ground between plain brass and full decorative crystal.

The angular octagon shape suits contemporary or geometric-leaning kitchen design specifically, where straight lines and defined edges are already part of the cabinetry's language — it would look somewhat out of place against a softer, more traditional cabinet profile where a rounded knob usually reads more naturally.

At 27mm, it's compact enough for drawer fronts and smaller cabinet doors, with the brushed gold finish keeping fingerprints from standing out across the multiple flat facet surfaces, which have more total exposed area than a single curved dome.

Does the octagon shape suit a traditional kitchen, or only modern cabinetry?

It's built specifically for contemporary or geometric-styled kitchens where straight lines and defined edges are already part of the design — in a softer traditional kitchen, a rounded knob from elsewhere in the range would usually suit the cabinetry better.

How does the faceted surface compare to the crystal knobs in terms of sparkle?

Brass facets catch light with a warmer, more matte reflection than crystal's brighter sparkle, giving a subtler geometric shimmer rather than the pronounced light-catching effect of a faceted crystal knob.

Is the eight-sided shape harder to grip than a round knob?

No, the flat facets actually give fingers defined surfaces to grip against, which some people find more secure than a fully smooth, curved knob with no distinct grip points.
