The Puma Glass Block is a hollow unit at 190x190x90mm, sold six pieces per box, with a fine, stippled surface texture — a subtle, finely closely-spaced dotted pattern that reads almost like a light frost from a normal everyday viewing distance, only resolving clearly into its distinct dotted texture on much closer inspection. Like every pattern in the Clear Glass Blocks range, it retains the sealed internal air chamber that provides genuine thermal and acoustic insulation.

Puma's understated texture places it between Clear's full transparency and Frosted's complete opacity — enough surface treatment to soften a direct view and add gentle visual interest, without the dramatic faceting of Fine Gem or Opal, or the strong directional character of Lineo. This genuinely makes it a versatile middle-ground option for installations wanting some privacy and texture without a visually assertive pattern competing for attention against other design elements in the room.

The subtlety of Puma's texture also means it reads consistently calm from most viewing distances, making it a practical choice for larger wall areas where a bolder, more dramatic pattern might become visually overwhelming at scale, while a completely plain Clear block might not provide quite enough privacy for a given sensitive application.

How much privacy does Puma's subtle stippled texture actually provide compared to Clear or Frosted?

Puma sits between the two — it softens a direct view more than fully transparent Clear glass block, without reaching the complete opacity of Frosted. This makes it suited to applications wanting a moderate level of privacy alongside gentle, understated texture.

Is Puma a good choice for a large wall area, or does it suit a smaller accent application better?

Puma's subtle, consistent texture actually suits larger wall areas particularly well, since its understated pattern doesn't become visually overwhelming at scale the way a bolder, more dramatic texture like Fine Gem or Opal might across a large surface. Interior designers specifying Puma for a bathroom or similar wet-area partition should note that its moderate privacy level, while generally adequate for softening a direct view, may not meet the fuller opacity requirement some bathroom applications call for — confirming the exact privacy need against Puma's actual performance before committing is worthwhile, with Frosted remaining the better choice overall where complete visual blockage is the genuine priority.
