When is the wider 38° beam preferable to the 24° Linear Spot?
At greater distance or against a larger target, a 24° beam concentrates into a tight, disproportionately small circle. The 38° beam spreads the same output into a wider, more proportionate pool — the better choice when the accent target is larger than a single small object, or when the ceiling-to-surface distance exceeds what a narrow beam comfortably covers.
Positioning multiple TL fixtures along a run benefits from planning the spacing against the target distance in advance — closer spacing for a row of smaller accent targets, wider spacing for larger or more spread-out objects — since repositioning after the ceiling is closed is easy on surface track but adds friction on a recessed installation.
How far apart should multiple TL fixtures be spaced along a track run?
