Lion Knob

T21 Product Code: CR-0001

The Lion Knob shapes a maned lion's face out of glazed ceramic, fixed to the door on a brushed zinc-alloy mounting post, at 62mm wide x 36mm tall — sized to read clearly as a lion rather than an abstract shape, even on a small drawer front. The mane's individual ridges are moulded rather than etched afterward, which is why the detail stays sharp instead of softening at the edges once the glaze is fired on.

The face and mane are moulded and painted in ceramic, which is what gives the piece its defined detail and slightly glossy finish; the mounting post behind it is zinc-alloy, brushed and matt-finished, and does the actual work of holding the knob to the door under regular tugging from small hands.

This is one of four animal faces in the same series — lion, koala, fox, and panda — all built on the same ceramic-and-post construction and the same 62 x 36mm footprint, so a full set can go across a run of drawers without any knob standing taller or sitting at a different depth than its neighbours.

Because the design leads with the character rather than a neutral shape, it's aimed squarely at children's rooms, playroom cabinetry, and nursery furniture rather than adult-facing kitchen or wardrobe runs where a plainer knob would usually sit better.

• Best for: children's bedroom and playroom drawers, nursery furniture
• Pairs well with: the koala, fox, and panda knobs in the same series for a mixed animal set
• Fixing: single-point, standard drawer-front knob mounting

Specification: Material — ceramic face on a zinc-alloy mounting post; Finish — brushed & matt; Size — 62mm x 36mm x 25mm depth.

What is the lion's face made of?

The face is glazed ceramic; the post that screws into the door is zinc-alloy, brushed and matt-finished. The ceramic gives the moulded detail and colour, the post carries the fixing.

Can I buy the full set of four animals together?

Yes — the lion, koala, fox, and panda are each listed as separate knobs, built to the same 62 x 36mm size, so you can order any combination for a matching set across multiple drawers.

Is this knob suitable for daily use by children?

Yes, the ceramic face and zinc-alloy post are built for regular handling on drawer fronts. As with any small fixed hardware, check the mounting screw periodically on furniture used by young children.
