The Lineo Glass Block is a hollow unit at 190x190x90mm, sold six pieces per box, with closely-spaced vertical fluted ridges running the full height of the block face — a clean, strongly architectural linear pattern genuinely distinct from the faceted sparkle of Fine Gem or Opal, or the organic distortion of Waver. Like every pattern in the Clear Glass Blocks range, it retains the sealed internal air chamber that provides genuine thermal and acoustic insulation.

The vertical fluting gives Lineo a strongly directional character — light and sightlines are interrupted differently depending on whether a viewer looks straight at the block or along the angle of the ridges, producing a subtle venetian-blind-like effect where a view is progressively obscured as the viewing angle shifts away from straight-on. This makes Lineo a specific choice for installations wanting a more architectural, linear visual language, coordinating naturally with vertical timber slatting, linear wall panelling, or other ribbed material finishes increasingly common in contemporary interiors.

Because the fluting runs in one consistent direction, orientation matters when installing Lineo across a multi-block wall — all blocks need to be set with the ridges running the same way for the pattern to read as a continuous, intentional surface rather than an inconsistent mix of directions.

Does Lineo's vertical fluting need to be installed in a specific orientation across multiple blocks?

Yes — since the fluting runs in one consistent direction, all blocks need to be set with the ridges aligned the same way across the wall for the pattern to read as a continuous, intentional surface, rather than an inconsistent mix of directions that would look like an installation error.

What kind of interior material palette does Lineo's linear pattern coordinate with best?

Lineo's architectural, ribbed character pairs naturally with vertical timber slatting, linear wall panelling, or other ribbed material finishes common in contemporary interiors, offering a more structured, directional visual language than the faceted or organic patterns elsewhere in the range. Electrical contractors and site teams unfamiliar with Lineo specifically should be briefed on this orientation requirement before installation begins, since correcting a misaligned block partway through a finished wall is considerably more disruptive than confirming the correct direction upfront, particularly once the mortar or jointing compound has already fully set around the affected pieces in place.
