The GLO Cone Light (GL-A05) is a 12W warm white cone-form fixture for the GLO 48V belt-link system, delivering 1,130 lumens through a 110° wide beam at 3000K. CRI greater than 90. Sand Black and Sand White finishes. Dimmable 0-10V. 2-year warranty.
The cone profile distinguishes this fixture from the flat-ended Direct series. At 1,130 lumens from 12W — 94 lumens per watt — it outputs more light than the 12W Direct Diffused (794 lumens) while maintaining the same wide 110° spread. The visual difference: the cone form creates a more residential, pendant-like silhouette when mounted on the belt, whereas the Direct series fixtures have a flatter, more rectilinear profile. For interiors where the fixture's visual form is part of the design rather than something to minimise, the Cone reads differently on the belt.
The GLO system operates on 48V DC — a touch-safe low voltage that makes the belt suitable for exposed ceiling and creative installations that mains-voltage track cannot safely permit. Power runs through the conductive belt; any GLO fixture clips on at any point along it and locks in place in seconds, no tools and no rewiring required. Relocate a fixture when the room changes — different sofa position, new artwork, reconfigured shelving — in the same amount of time it would take to move the furniture. All GLO fixtures dim continuously via a 0-10V dimming signal connected to the power supply; one dimmer controls all fixtures on that circuit.

What makes the Cone Light different from the Direct Diffused Light at the same wattage?
Both are 12W 3000K wide-angle fixtures, but they differ in light output and visual form. The GL-A05 Cone produces 1,130 lumens — 42% more than the GL-A02 Diffused at 794 lumens — despite using the same 12W. The cone also projects light with a slight directional bias downward, whereas the Direct Diffused is more omni-directional from the fixture face. The Cone is the better output choice for ambient coverage; the Diffused has a more compact profile where ceiling height is limited.
Can I mix different GLO fixture types on the same belt?
Yes — the GLO system is designed for fixture mixing on a single belt run. A typical installation might combine GL-A01 Spot fixtures over focal points, GL-A05 Cones for ambient fill, and GL-A04 Linear Spots for architectural wall grazing, all on the same belt. Fixtures draw power independently; the only constraint is that the total wattage of all fixtures on the circuit must not exceed the power supply rating.
What ceiling height does the GLO Cone Light work best at?
The GL-A05 works well at standard Indian residential ceiling heights of 9 to 11 feet (approximately 2.7 to 3.4m). At 10ft with a 110° beam, a single Cone covers approximately 3.6m diameter on the floor — appropriate for ambient fill in a standard room bay. At higher commercial ceiling heights of 4m or above, two to three Cones may be needed to achieve the same floor-level lux.
