Fox Knob

T21 Product Code: CR-0001

The Fox Knob shapes an alert, pointed-ear fox face in glazed ceramic, mounted on a brushed zinc-alloy post at the same 62mm x 36mm size used across the whole animal series — small enough for a narrow drawer, defined enough to still read clearly as a fox from across the room. The pointed ears and narrow snout are moulded before the glaze goes on, which keeps the silhouette crisp rather than rounding it off the way a purely printed design would.

Set against the other three faces in the series, the fox's angular features give it a more alert, watchful expression than the koala's softness or the panda's contrast, which makes it a useful accent piece if you want one drawer in a run to stand out slightly from its neighbours.

Ceramic gives the moulding its crisp pointed ears and painted detail; the zinc-alloy post behind the face, finished brushed and matt, is what actually screws into the door and takes the pull force each time the drawer opens, keeping the decorative ceramic front free of structural stress.

As one of four faces built on identical construction — alongside the lion, koala, and panda — the fox knob lines up flush with its set-mates on any run of drawers, so mixing animals across a piece of furniture doesn't create an uneven look.

The fox's more angular, alert expression tends to suit slightly older children's rooms or a playroom with a woodland or storybook theme, where a defined character face fits better than a plain round knob.

• Best for: children's bedroom drawers, playroom storage, woodland or storybook-themed rooms
• Pairs well with: the lion, koala, and panda knobs from the same series
• Fixing: single-point, standard drawer-front knob mounting

Specification: Material — ceramic face on a zinc-alloy mounting post; Finish — brushed & matt; Size — 62mm x 36mm x 25mm depth.

How is the fox knob fixed to a drawer?

It uses a single central screw through the zinc-alloy post at the back of the ceramic face — the same standard knob fixing as any round cabinet knob, no special hardware needed.

Will the paint on the ceramic fade over time?

The colour is glazed into the ceramic during firing rather than painted on top afterward, which is why it holds up to regular handling and cleaning without the surface colour wearing thin.

Can this knob be used outside a child's room?

It's designed with children's furniture in mind, so while nothing stops it being used elsewhere, the character face is best suited to nurseries, kids' bedrooms, and playroom storage rather than adult-facing kitchen or wardrobe runs.
