For installations where the track should be invisible in a ceiling reveal, the Deep Recessed Trimless track is the alternative specification.

What is the difference between the Surface/Pendant Track and the Deep Recessed Trimless Track?

The Surface/Pendant Track sits on the ceiling surface (or hangs below it as a pendant) — the 5mm track is visible as a thin line on the ceiling with fixtures attached to it. The Deep Recessed Trimless Track sits in a ceiling slot, flush with or below the ceiling surface — the track is invisible from below, and only the fixtures and their light output are seen. Surface is simpler to install in existing ceilings; Recessed requires ceiling construction planning but produces a cleaner finish.
