In a Deep Recessed Trimless installation, the track channel is cut into the ceiling during construction and the 5mm track is set in it, with the ceiling material brought flush to the track edge. Once the ceiling is finished, only the fixtures and their light output are visible — the track itself disappears into the ceiling plane. This is the specification for premium residential, hospitality, and commercial environments where the lighting infrastructure must be entirely concealed. Plan the track channel during ceiling construction; retrofit installation in finished ceilings is technically demanding and requires specialist support.

What ceiling preparation is required for the FILO Deep Recessed Trimless Track?

The ceiling must have a channel routed to the track's profile depth before the ceiling is plastered or finished. The electrical connection is made inside the ceiling void before installation. The track sits in the channel and the ceiling finish is brought flush to it. This work must be completed during ceiling construction — it cannot practically be added to a finished ceiling without significant disruption. For new builds and renovations in progress, specify the channel dimensions to your ceiling contractor at the framing or plasterboard stage.
